Our lesson plans were submitted by teachers who want to share their successful activities with others. We'd like to thank those teachers for providing their favorite lesson plans. We welcome any ideas you might want to submit for others to enjoy.
Poetry lesson: This lesson gives the structure of a diamonte poem. An example is given to give clarity to this type of poem. Students download powerful images from the Internet with the intent of writing a diamonte poem. The student has the option to insert the image into various programs. Once they have selected a program to place the image, they will type up their poem. Lessons on synonyms and antonyms: This Marco Polo style lesson focuses on synonyms and antonyms. The objective of this lesson is to enhance the student's writing skills. This lesson will demonstrate how a writing piece can improve by diversifying the vocabulary once they realize words they might use repetitively has a synonym or an antonym.

Complete the sentence. Younger audiences can read imcomplete sentences and pick the picture that will best complete the sentence. They will get immediate feedback for their responses.

Playing Doctor Students take on the role of a doctor. They are given the medical history of patients and a break down of their weekly diet. The students must determine what the patient needs to eliminate from their diet or add to their diet in order to feel better.
Writing for "The Food Times." Your students will be responsible for producing articles for a newspaper about foods that interest them. During this project, they will learn about the history of various food items as they participate in a fun activity that encourages creativity and enhances writing skills. Menu Planner A new health restaurant has hired your students to create 10 different meals for your customers. The meals should be balanced, tasty and healthy. Once they have come up with meals, they need to design menus to represent their meals.
Unsramble Recipes! A chef has scrambled his recipe book. He has the measurments and the ingredients to make different recipes, but they have been separated. Your students must help him determine which ingredient goes with which measurment.
